Piano Rental Scheme
If a member of the family wants to start learning the piano, it is important for the new student to have a good quality reliable piano in the home to practise on. If no one else in the family plays, it can be difficult to justify the cost of purchasing a good piano initially, until some ability has been shown and commitment given. However, a cheap, old, unrestored piano will almost certainly have faults which will discourage the player, and an electronic keyboard will have a different sense of touch to the teacher's piano, which will slow down progress and encourage bad playing habits. In the long run, either of these options will use up money, which could have been better put towards a quality piano that will last for years.
This is where our rent-to-buy scheme is the ideal solution. We offer a selection of our new and used uprights to rent on a monthly basis, with rental starting at £40 per month, and 50% of the rent deducted from the price of the piano if you decide to buy later. The minimum rental period is 3 months, with no maximum. We ask for the initial 3 months rent in advance, with subsequent monthly payments by Standing Order, but usually there is no deposit to pay, and ground-floor delivery is free within our local area. If you decide to buy later, the scheme has the added flexibility of being able to transfer the 'discount' built up from the rental to purchase any piano we have in stock at the time at a reduced price.
Please note that this scheme is only available within our normal tuning area (usually about 40 miles radius out from showroom). Please contact us for full details and written terms and conditions if required.
